Grab your chair pads and Big Gulps and get ready to hide from your spouses or drag them with you, because the second expansion pack to "World of Warcraft," "Wrath of the Lich King", is finally arriving (at 12:01 a.m. Thursday Nov. 13). For many of you, that means exhilarating weeks and sleepless nights, missed classes and late homework, "sick" days from work, stacks of pizza boxes, soda-can mountains, and telling your spouse you'll be down to dinner in "just a few more minutes!" while remaining inert in your desk chair until supper's just a collection of refrigerated Tupperware containers.
In case you hadn't heard, "World of Warcraft" is the biggest massively online multiplayer game in the world. Its monthly subscriber base numbers more than 11 million, each one paying around $15 a month to pilot virtual elves and dwarves and other high fantasy types around a gigantic interlocking collection of stylish countries and continents, battling the forces of good, evil, or simply each other.
Friend 1 was at Walmart @ 6:30 this morning to grab his copies. Yes I said copies, as the man has 2 computers that he needs to load this thing on ~ Walmart was SOLD OUT !!!! ~ He then went to Fred Meyer that didn't open until 7:00 ~ He was late for work ~ But he did get his 2 copies of the game !!!! tee hee hee hee....ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaa.....hilarious !!!!
Friend 2 ~ a.ka. Mean Bean ~ Little Red ~ Diet Nazi ~ Jill of all trades ~ Got friend 1 HOOKED on W.O.W. ~ Mean Bean has put a spending freeze on herself due to being in the middle of purchasing a house ~ She refuses to spend any monies until it is a done deal ~ She is literally turning the color of her hair a the fact that she CAN'T get W.O.W !!!!!! ~ She has a VERY strong will, that one !!!!!!
Who am I laugh. For I am one who TOTALLY geeks out when a new season of Miami Vice is out on DVD !!!!!! But Miami Vice at least serves a purpose !!!!!
